So bilic thought they were tired after the Wednesday game, poor little souls! Many didn't play Wednesday and if he and his coaching staff got the squad fit it might help. Seems to me we only played for 15-20 minutes in both the spuds and yesterday's game.

In contrast, I saw the under 23’s win against Man City, a game they come from behind to win. Martinez scored very late on, and I think the ref gave 4 or 5 added on minutes, but the lads defended as if their lives depended on it, and saw the game out. Some of our senior players would do well to watch the video of that.

But if Antonio did what 99% of footballers would have done in that situation and simply held the ball in the corner or won a throw in then the game is over and nothing else happens.

Regardless of anything else that happened during the game, we were 2-1 up with seconds remaining and Antonio cost us two points. How big that mistake is come the end of the season is anyone's guess. Antonio needs to stop thinking he's the bollocks and get back to being humble. I wouldn't blame Bilic for wanting to kick his head in.

I have to confess I have not seen the game. Just turned on Teletext yesterday at 4.50 and saw we were 2-1 up.

I then went ot final score just in time to hear Palace equalising with their goal timed at 90 + (fucking) 7 !!!!

At the point where he completely failed to set up the team to win the game in the second half and instead clearly instructed them to hold onto the lead. A manager who hands over the initiative when two nil up away to a bottom of the league side is a bust flush, and this is what we have in Bilić.

Antonio made a poor error, but he made it on their touch line. A lot of other things had to happen for them to go up the other end and score a few seconds later.

At what point does Bilic take the blame for all of the other things that went wrong and contributed to their goal?

How (and why) the fuck Noble and Fernandes started that game on the basis of playing okay when our reserves beat Spurs' reserves on Wednesday night is beyond me.

Kouyate at centre-back - who is a shadow of his former self - is baffling to say the least as well.

I wonder how many more changes our manager will make for Saturday? You need a settled starting XI and formation. Players need to find their feet, build fitness and develop continuity with their team-mates. You simply cannot make wholesale changes every week and expect the team to do well. It's fucking bonkers.

We are three months into the season and our manager has no idea about our best formation to use and our strongest starting XI. Incredible.

Yea we over rate our squad i think, Lanzini is the only player who would interest any of the top 7 or 8 clubs and Sakho if he wasnt mad and injured.

Its not the coaching necessarily its general discipline i think. We are so sloppy and cause ourselves so many problems.

Probably because they deserved to win and we played like brainless cunts.
If Palace play like they did in the second half they will create enough to get points to get out of trouble. Or have a decent chance at it
If we play like we did in the second half and make errors like we did we will be down by VALENTINES DAY

Look at the positives.

We did a Spurs 2-0 up
Then went backwards
They lost 3-2
We still got a 2-2 and a point
They lost yesterday.

All good!

Just watched the match, and I think we should be quite happy with a point.
Palace did more than enough to win the game. So a lucky point that is.

Antonio should be fined for that last piss taking pass, leading to the goal. So unprofessional.

2nd half is a collapse as a team. Individual errors and no shape.

Noble keep running towards the ball, wherever it is. Leaving far to much space in the middle.

Lucky point, bad subs and far to deep.

Re: ⚽ Crystal Palace v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 2-2
Interesting how Palace get all the credit for this game from the media.

But looking at it from a different perspective; it was a 2-2 draw at HOME against another struggling side where they dropped 2 points.

What amazes me is that we never once looked like scoring a third goal. You would think that an away side 2 up with the home side pressing there would be chances on the counter, at least, but that second half was atrocious. Why?

How many penalties and fuck ups is that now?
Sick of the constant unprofessionalism at the club, and the subsequent let downs.
Finding it hard to care much these days.
The club have sucked my support dry.

Re: ⚽ Crystal Palace v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 2-2
Our squad should be capable of finishing in the top-10. No ifs and buts about it. At worst; we should be finishing no lower than 13th with the players we have.

If Bilic stays as manager then, at best, we'll manage to avoid relegation by the skin of our teeth. There is absolutely no indication at all that we'll do anything better than that.

Again, 11th flattered us last season. Something tells me that we won't be so lucky with a string of 1-0 victories in Home games this season.

They may not be coached properly, but that has fuck all to do with what Antonio did.

That's all him. No excuses.

Re: ⚽ Crystal Palace v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 2-2
they are not being coached properly. It is as simple as that. If they were they would know what to do certainly with the Antonia in the corner of the pitch incident. Bilic did not need to coach the Croatian team as they were a bunch of talented players and know from young how to play to their system. You can tell just by looking at us that there are no drills of plans pratised in our training. They go on the pitch and wing it. Down to the crap manager and staff

Re: ⚽ Crystal Palace v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 2-2
Yeah I think I agree axeman. But then I look at the perpetrators of these errors, and they're really not the sharpest tools. Carroll at Burnley, ogbonna and Antonio yesterday. It's like we have a team of Carltons, not a football brain between them.

Fwiw, I think yesterday highlighted the folly of arguments about the strength of our players. Palace are comfortably bottom of the league (albeit unexpectedly) but half of their outfield players get in our side, and vice versa. There's very little difference

Stewie

You're spot on to bring up that Ogbonna challenge, it was fucking ridiculous but that unprofessionalism runs through the team and must come from Bilic. Im astounded how often we look like a rabble. Even that kit yesterday looked some cunt had forgotten to bring the right shorts and socks. Ogbonna and Antonio were culpable but it happens to often not to be endemic.
